[...] Deep reefs will be examined using a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV – a type of robot) – exploring habitats never before seen by humans. Scientific divers will survey lagoons, count fish, assess coral bleaching and scan lagoon reef structures using another type of robot – an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV).
